Dad went to church and did clean up after the service.
I picked Liên and Bill up around 11:30am. Upon getting to our place, Bill crashed. Liên did laundry and showed us pictures from VN. While Bill was still asleep Liên went shopping with me. We got steaks, salmon, blackberries, and asparagus. Liên marinated the food and Dad grilled them. Bill didn't get up right away, but he did before the food was all gone. We also opened a pear champagne bottle.
Dad decided to go watch my soccer game. It was a pre-championship game. We played #4 team, but it was the only team we didn't beat in the season, so I wasn't sure how we'd do. We beat them soundly this time. If we win the championship game next week, we'll move up and probably means we'll have a losing season.
Dad and I watched Wake of the Red Witch, a John Wayne movie. We are not abstemious. (The underlined feature doesn't work. I have to use bold). We finished the bottle of champagne with dark chocolate truffles.
FB reports that Liên is back in Norfolk.

Dad did Luther's Place this morning. One person who went with him was late. So they were an hour late, but the ladies were fed.
This afternoon, we went to cậu Tùng's for dinner. Dad planned to ride his bike, but it didn't work out. Bà wrote to Dad and asked Dad to give her a ride back on his bike. Cô Trinh thought it was hilarious and she was amused of Bà's sense of humor. She asked if Dad didn't ride his bike because he didn't want to give Bà a ride home. We had grilled rock fish rolled up in rice paper.
My friend came to pick me up to take me to Mandarin Oriental Hotel in DC to visit a high school classmate from California who's here on vacation. We had a nice little visit. The high school classmate loves taking pictures and is very faithful in posting them. So when I got home our picture was already posted.
When it was time to go back, Dad and Bà were still at cậu Tùng's. So my friend just dropped me there. That worked out well.
I'm seeing Liên and Bill tomorrow.
